Restoration - conversion of existing tourist facilities and redevelopment of the surrounding open space, on the coast of Arvanitia
Location: Arvanitia, Nafplio
Surface: 990 m2
Supervision: 2011 - 2013
Client: Public Properties Company

The project refers to the restoration of existing building [former hotel], owned by the Greek National Tourism Organization, as well as its conversion into a multipurpose centre, in combination with the design of new service facilities for the visitors of the coast of Arvanitia, in Nafplio. The proposal aims to form a complex of recognizable architectural identity, including new and pre - existing structures. The main principle of the design was the use of contemporary methods and materials so that they could be clearly distinguished from the old ones. An equally important design criterion was the embedding of bioclimatic design principles.
